In the position of Data Architect/Engineer, the incumbent will support the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in driving fundamental changes in how data is integrated, controlled, distributed, and accessed by programs, business units and operators across the enterprise. The NAVAIR Digital Office (NDO) is tasked with creating an enterprise-level information sharing environment focused on expanding the transformational business, sustainment, and capabilities-based acquisition abilities of the NAVAIR command to provide analysts and operators with secure, streamlined access to consolidated and relevant data in classified and unclassified domains. This capability will transform data access and utility in helping decision makers to speed business processes, sustainment decisions and model-based performance across the command and its portfolio of programs.  The incumbent will support the design and development of data integration, management, and analytics capabilities from concept to implementation across technical, policy, governance, and mission stakeholders. The candidate must be prepared to work with leaders from the government and to work with data managers and engineers in defining the intake, consolidation, storage, standardization, discovery, retrieval, and analysis of data generated by the business, programs, operators/warfighters, and enterprise office personnel. Required Skills Ability to: Assist in the development of implementable designs for enterprise data systems which enable customer requirements by leveraging a solid understanding of technical capabilities in the areas of big data, advanced analytics, identity management, access controls, cybersecurity, privacy, and other areas. Be a change agent through the design and hands on development/delivery of information-based solutions with a focus on big data, data aggregation, and information sharing and safeguarding Demonstrate collaborative leadership and consensus building across organizations with differing priorities and missions Conduct complex problem solving, including solution development and implementation Provide effective communication with technical, business, and executive stakeholders; able to bridge the communication/messaging gap that normally exists between those groups Understand federal government operations, processes, and politics, and how those are major factors affecting technical delivery Required Experience Required: A Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years experience in data management, architecture, or analysis. Equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree. Demonstrated skill in delivering enterprise data systems and development of implementable data artifacts and products A thorough understanding of data integration, standardization, and curation to support enterprise consumption across multivariate mission areas and purposes. Ability to improve data quality and usability by driving an understanding and adherence to the principles of data management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions Technical and hands-on expertise in principles and tools that support data management practices including modeling, quality assurance, standardization, profiling, etc. Desired: Knowledge of design algorithms and data manipulation capabilities using R, Python, C++, Java, Go, or other known programming languages Use of requirements capture tools and skill in capturing high level requirements  2695-749

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
