Subject Matter Expert

Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES The Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides support for the training efforts within the College of Business Financial Management and Comptroller (CoBFM&C) for our team based at Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Md. The incumbent will provide Common Spend Plan Tool Expertise (CSPT) expertise on a daily basis to the development team, providing real time responses enabling critical path development. The incumbent will provide expertise throughout the community; to include tool specifics, as well as knowledge and expertise on how to utilize the tool within the program offices and competencies for day to day financial management. As the Lead CSPT Trainer will be able to independently conduct CSPT Demo's, which will include briefing the capabilities and processes to any requesting organization involved with NAVAIR.   Incumbent will work the customer to develop training material for new CSPT functions. Course development will include establishing project schedule, delivery strategies, content and exercises. As required, development will include compilation of an Instructor guide and student handbook. Developer will engage the instructor to ensure instructor notes adequately address the learning objective. Participate in meetings on subject matter and provide expert advice and recommendation on course content based on relevant financial management policy and guidance. Develop list of materials required materials for classroom (i.e., calculators, rulers, special items to execute student exercises, etc.) SME will provide sustainment of existing course as required by SOW and POA&M. Required Skills KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION Excellent customer service skills Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with other team members Exhibit excellent oral and verbal communication skills EDUCATION Must have at least ten years of Department of the Navy Financial experience. Resume must clearly articulate prior assignments and the type and duration of financial experience LANGUAGE Must be fluent in the English language and able to communicate complicated concepts to an English-speaking only audience comprised of mid to senior-level managers/leaders. SECURITY CLEARANCE Pursuant to a Government contract, must be a US citizen with a valid US passport. Must be able to obtain base access.     Required Experience Must have previous classroom experience as a teacher/instructor or the ability to speak/present material to mixed audiences. Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance. On site office space will be available, but the employee must also be able to work from home as needed. Tracking Code 3063-183

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
