Background: This position will provide engineering support to the Patuxent River Infrared Signature Measurements (PRISM) Team in the Aircraft Signature and Avionics Measurements Branch of Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR), Patuxent River, Maryland. The PRISM facility conducts dynamic, surface-to-air and surface-to-surface infrared signature measurements of fixed wing aircraft, rotary wing aircraft, missiles and UAV?s.

Duties & Responsibilities, Other Experience, Skills, Requirements, and Information:

  • Perform system design for PRISM instrumentation and operational scenarios

  • Participate in planning and coordination of test schedules

  • Conduct tests and evaluations on systems, equipment, or components

  • Setup, calibrate, survey and pretest mission support equipment and participate in PRISM test operations.

  • Provide real-time data collection and analysis services

  • Perform post-flight data analysis and reporting

  • Perform other duties as need by the PRISM Team

    • At least 4 years? experience associated with engineering functions related to development, test, or evaluation of instrumentation systems is required

    • Experience with NAVAIR T&E policies and procedures for test planning, execution and reporting highly desired

    • Applicant must be a self-starter and be able to work smoothly as a member of a technical team.

  • Must be able to work overtime when needed

  • Must be able to travel for mission support

    • Must be flexible and team oriented

    • Applicant must possess a valid driver?s license

    • Applicants are subject to drug screenings

Education Required:

  • A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from a school of engineering having at least one professional engineering curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) (or in related disciplines such as physics, mathematics or computer science).

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance.

    Work Conditions:

  • Conditions may vary.?Most work is performed in enclosed buildings, but some outside work may be required. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching.?Applicant should be capable of lifting 50-100 lbs. assisted by other employees. Vision abilities needed to perform this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
