Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Analyst
PSI Pax is currently recruiting for a Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Analyst with a Secret Clearance to support our government customer in Patuxent River, MD
Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary duties include, but not limited to supporting the below requirements:
Audit Requirements
Compile beginning balance asset/liability listings
Develop variable valuation methodologies for assets
Perform Existence & Completeness (E&C) and Valuation exercises for assets
Determine asset capitalization thresholds
Perform reconciliations
Reconcile AP / AR transactions
Prepare, compile, and deliver assertion packages
Develop, validate, and implement management controls
Aggregate and perform data cleansing and validation of Financial Transactions from DON Financial management IT systems
BSO / Command Requirements
Perform POM/PPBE Funding Cycle activities
Perform Obligation / Expenditure analysis for APPNs
Develop Budget Exhibits
Interact with Navy ERP (NERP), PBIS, COBRA
Perform Cost Estimation activities, to include development of cost estimate models, Program Life Cycle Cost Estimates (PLCCE), and analyses of alternatives
Leverage knowledge of DoD 5000.02 to develop acquisition-aligned audit solutions
Required Qualifications:
Secret Clearance
Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition management experience
Knowledge of DoD 5000.02
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with internal controls documentation
Asset management experience
Reimbursable work order experience
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
