The selectee of this position serves as a Program Analyst in the Acoustic Systems Division.
The Acoustic Systems Division develops, acquires, and provides engineering, management, contracting, and acquisition support for development of state-of-the-art airborne detection systems for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) applications.
You must be a US Citizen. Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance. Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation. Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period. You must obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Works on a close and collaborative basis with the Division Director, Branch Heads, and senior Program Managers to participate actively in all phases of ASW sensor system design planning, analysis, and execution.
Responsible for a diverse range of essential program management functions, including program analysis; system requirements analysis and administration; schedule planning; and program control and reporting.
Assists in the generation of written guidelines to provide project engineers and support personnel the information needed to develop appropriate and complete planning inputs for the design of new systems, consistent with broad policy and planning directives.
Helps coordinate submissions of program/project planning data for ASW sensor system designs received from the Acoustic Systems Division components and supporting organizations.
Serves as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for the project management and business related areas for several of the Division's technical support services contracts.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) experience in program/project planning data for sensor system design; 2) program analysis; 3) system requirements analysis and administration; 4) schedule planning and program control and reporting.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional education, training and experience.
