This position is within the Naval Engineering Command Washington area of responsibility (Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington DC). The incumbent develops or reviews information/plans, and makes recommendations on conventional planning issues/problems. The incumbent assists planners in producing documentation in support of major Navy-wide construction programs including Military Construction, Special Projects, Demolition, and others to be used as the basis of administrative or budget planning.
You must be a US Citizen. Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance. Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation. Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period. You must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Coordinating detailed facility functional studies within regional planning initiatives with follow-on implementation support.
Conducting on-site visits with customers to communicate and define related project requirements
Prepare documentation required to determine facility requirements for shore activities within assigned missions
Review planning work orders upon receipt to identify project requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Assisting Senior Community Planners with evaluation and analysis of siting, funding, operation, maintenance, repair and modification of facilities and utilities operations;
Assisting with the development of onsite planning documentation in support of construction programs (i.e. military construction, demolition) and major modifications of facilities and utilities;
Performing detailed facility functional studies within regional planning initiatives;
Preparing and providing technical briefings, consultations, point papers and special reports to higher-level authorities.

Work Environment: The work involves normal risks or discomforts associated with an office environment that is usually adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. There may be occasional exposure to dusty or dirty conditions while traveling to visit activities and future project sites. No special precautions or protective clothing are needed on a routine basis. However field visits in the vicinity of airfields or construction sites could expose the employee to temporary adverse environmental conditions such as noise, heat, biting, insects, dusts, etc.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
