Duties :
This position is located at Patuxent River, MD. Only applicants that meet the minimum education, experience, and clearance criteria will be considered.
General Functions:
Comply with all Configuration Management (CM) policies and procedures to ensure strict control of all CM documentation, timely posting, and distribution of correct revisions on library sites.
Interfaces with other government and contractor personnel who are developing project designs, drawings and documentation.
Assists in the oversight of all process and standards document development.
Participates in the development, documentation, and maintenance of CM processes for air vehicle modifications and instrumentation packages.
Assists in the CM process implementation and training effort.
Performs process development, documentation and continuous improvement duties as defined by the Configuration Management Lead, Chief Engineer, and Divisional Management.
Other Requirements and Information:
Ability to work as a team member within an aircraft/weapon instrumentation team to assist in the management and control of large scale design effort products such as mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and other project documentation.
Ability to successfully create and integrate an effective configuration management program into an organization.
Ability to create effective configuration management policies and standards and subsequently train others in the implementation of those policies and standards.
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
Education Required:
A high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years experience performing configuration management duties in an engineering or technical environment.
Formal training resulting in Certification as a Configuration Manager from a recognized professional society or college, or a bachelors' degree in a related technical field, is preferred.
Formal training or demonstrated experience in utilization of MS Office products to include Word, Excel and Access

Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and hold a Secret Clearance.
