This position is working for the Configurations Department supporting the Project Liaison Officer (PLO) in the design, fabrication, installation, modification, repair and removal of Science & Technology (S&T;) applications onboard Scientific Development Squadron ONE (VXS-1) aircraft. The purpose of the position is to provide airframe/aircraft component structural fabrication work/expertise on a day to day basis, either directly or through coordination with contractor personnel, in accomplishing the work operations of VXS-1 and to perform associated nonsupervisory work.
You must be a US Citizen. Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance. Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation. Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period. You must obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Perform metal to metal bonding where delamination of surfaces and core material occurs in control surfaces.
Inspect damage or deterioration and determine method of repair or replacement using powered and non-powered tools and equipment.
Fit and trim components to aircraft such as radomes, antenna, bomb bay pallets, and other assemblies.
Work directly on the aircraft and its components.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a SHEET METAL MECHANIC (AIRCRAFT)without more than normal supervision such as:
Aligning and balancing component structures and airframes using precision measuring instruments and levels. Performing metal to metal bonding. Removal, repair, modification and installation of external and internal parts and assemblies of aircraft parts or aircraft systems such as: research equipment racks, antenna, panels, radomes, workstations, feed through plates, connectors, waveguides, crew stations, bomb bay pallets, sheet metal work, reviewing proposed modifications, reading blueprints, working with various metals, including magnesium, honeycomb material, alloys, stainless steel and copper and other related items. Fit and trim components to aircraft. Preparation and design layout, dies, jigs, and templates necessary to carry out fabrication repair or modification of aircraft systems, S & T projects, and other equipment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
