Software Engineer with Security Clearance

Background Information:
This full-time, onsite position supports the Test Communications team within the Range Operations Branch of the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) at Patuxent River, Maryland.
Duties will be performed in support of ATR's Test Communication Section.
The Test Communications team provides test communications support to all ATR activities, including the operation and maintenance of microwave, fiber optic, satellite and terrestrial communications systems, UHF/VHF/HF voice and data communication links, command/control/flight termination systems, Ethernet and SONET network, radio frequency management, monitoring and interference control.
Engineering duties and
Responsibilities:
o Technical troubleshooting and/or problem-solvingo Documents designs, installations, maintenance and modification:
o Test Communications Systemso Configuration management systemo Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining:
o Radio Frequency (RF) radios to support real-time missionso Copper and fiber cables for data transmissionso Organizing requirements and presenting plans for:
o Funding, researching, procuring, and tracking hardware purchaseso Equipment installationso Maintaining system infrastructureo Interacts with vendors for maintenance support for both hardware and softwareNote:

Education, Certifications, License, and Skill Requirements:
o Degree in a computer science or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
o Experience with some or all of the following are desired:
o Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Projecto Experience with C/C++, networking protocols and data flows diagramso RF experience with knowledge/experience with drills, wrenches, pliers, volt-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and solderingo Experience with Fiber/Copper connectors, terminating, troubleshooting, splicing, polishing, etc.
o Designing, installing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining Flight Termination Systems (FTS) infrastructure to meet mission requirements Security Clearance:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
