is the prime contractor to support the Atlantic Range Technical Support Services (ARTSS) for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) headquartered in Patuxent River, MD, and with locations in Maryland, Virginia, and California.

Background Information:
This full-time position within the Range Systems Tactical Training Range (TTR) of the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) in Patuxent River, Maryland provides development, operation, and maintenance of cooperative tracking systems in support of RDT&E and Fleet Training Events conducted by ATR in support of customer requirements.

Responsibilities:
Lead Software Tester is:
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the software testing process to ensure the highest quality and reliability of software products Works closely with developers and other stakeholders to prioritize testing requirements, develop test plans, and execute testing strategies Plays a crucial role in identifying software defects, tracking issues, and reporting on test progress Develops and implements comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases to ensure the quality and reliability of software products Executes manual and automatic testing, including functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing, to identity software defects and ensure compliance with requirements Conducts data analysis on software usage and system performance to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement Tracks, documents, and reports software defects, working closely with the development team to prioritize and to resolve issues in a timely manner Monitors and reports on testing progress, metrics, and results, providing regular updates to project stakeholders Evaluates and recommends testing tools, as well as data analysis tools and techniques to improve overall testing efficiency, effectiveness, and data-driven decision-making Maintains a thorough understanding of the software products, their underlying technologies, and industry trends to ensure up-to-date testing methodologies and data analysis approaches Participates in release planning and deployment activities, ensuring that quality assurance processes are followed throughout the software development lifecycle Continuously assesses and refines testing and data analysis processes, methodologies, and tools to improve overall software quality and team performanceNote:

Educational, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
BS Degree in an engineering discipline from a school of engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or in a related discipline, such as Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science (or Information Technology) from an accredited college or university is required Experience in software testing and data analysis, including hands-on experience in creating and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and data analysis projects is preferred Possess strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, best practices, and data analysis techniques is necessary Possession of solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills is needed Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, as well as experience with data analysis tools and software (e.
