A week in the life of a Senior Aerospace Engineer:
Act at the engineering lead in support of flight control system development; aircraft modeling and simulation; analysis of aircraft flight dynamics; and ground and flight test support.
The technical tasks will include acting as a lead engineer:
For the design, development, integration, and test of aircraft flight control systems and autopilots Developing, integrating, and validating models of aircraft flight dynamics and subsystems such as payloads, engines, transmissions, flight control components, and sensors Supporting lab, ground, and flight qualification testing of aircraft avionics, sensors, and flight control systems Mentoring more junior engineers in the above tasking Founded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United States.

Must be a US Citizen Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering or Bachelor's plus equivalent industry experience.

years of experience to include development and/or refinement of flight dynamics models; work with flight test data to include flight test support as well as flight data analysis, and/or familiarity with aircraft performance, aerodynamic design, non-linear system identification, and flight control system design and analysis.
Skilled in C/C+
programming language Excellent documentation and report writing skills are essential for this position.
Must have a good knowledge of sound engineering practices that may include such areas as requirement tracking, configuration control, technical communication, and/or the peer review process.
