Senior Aerospace Engineer
JHNA is looking for a qualified Senior Aerospace Engineer or Senior Computer Scientist to solve problems by applying engineering principles, practices and theories to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.
This position will be supporting our NAVAIR Government Customer at Patuxent River, MD.
The ideal candidate will either sit on-site at the customer location, or within reasonable driving distance as the position will require monthly and sometimes weekly customer meetings on site.
Roles/
Responsibilities:
Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation, as well as apply engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
Apply principles, practices and theories of engineering fundamentals to identify and mitigate design, production and test deficiencies.
Provide technical continuity required in the development of the program.
Qualifications:
Required:
Active Secret ClearanceBS in Engineering or a closely related fieldExperience developing and tuning nonlinear Kalman Filter-based sensor fusion algorithmsExperience gathering and processing information from various sensor types including EO, IR, LADAR, IMU, etcExperience configuring and using multi-constellation RTK GNSS systems and post-processing PPK GNSS solutionsHighly proficient in Matlab and Simulink with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
Proficiency in C, C++, and Linux with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
Network and serial communications experienceRobotics experience including hardware prototyping and testingExperience using and developing C+
nodes in ROSDesired:
Experience writing real-time or pseudo real-time code in C/C++MS in Engineering or a closely related field.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
