Peraton is looking for a Software Engneer to join our team in Patuxent River, MD.
The ideal candidate shall evaluate analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions for computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities for the Software Engineer include:
Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
Integrate hardware and software systems; develop specifications, and performance requirements.
Maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
Required
Qualifications:
BS or BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, or Management or Relevant Technical Discipline.
CompTIA Security
certification.
Allowable Substitution:
Associate's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Management or Relevant Technical Discipline plus two (2) years of additional work experience performing the duties similar to the Experience Requirements below may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
At least five (5) years of experience performing duties similar to at least two (2) duties found in the Journeyman Software Engineer description.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Shall have or be able to obtain a Secret or up to a Top Secret Security Clearance.
On certain Task Orders Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) will be required for Special Access Programs (SAP).

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
